Hello
 I'm Chase D'Hont
Where I am currently
I am currently the Senior Graphic Design Coordinator and Lead Graphic Designer for Arizona State Football. I create a variety of media including graphics, logos, presentations, physical media, and more. I enjoy working with the incredible Sun Devil Football staff. I moved to Tempe, AZ in May, 2023 after graduating from West Virginia University with a BFA in Graphic Design.
What sparked my interest in design?
Ever since I was young, I was drawn to sports logos, album covers, and drink labels. I have always naturally critiqued things that I thought could use improvement. Organization and visual clarity have always been my focus, as I can see the direct result from brands using successful design. Look good, feel good, play good!
My inspiration
I've been surrounded by logos and unique brands my entire life. My father worked in the hardwood flooring industry, where a number of his jobs were installing and refinishing college basketball courts. While accompanying my dad during work, the center court logo would always grab my attention, leading to my curiosity on the specific brand identity.
My uncle is Chief Creative Officer at Mason Marketing. Having had the chance to shadow him at work, I got sneak peaks of his process. I got to see what he and his creative staff do on a day-to-day basis, sit in on their creative jam sessions, and watch them prepare ideas for clients. He has worked on commercials, beverage labels, brand identities, and more. It is nice to have an uncle that I can reach out to and learn from when it comes to graphic design and life in general.
Currently, I continue to draw inspiration from multiple creatives. Paul Rand, Saul Bass, Paula Scher, and Darrin Crescenzi are revolutionaries in design as they developed some of the world's most famous and timeless logos. Takashi Murakami, Jean Michel Basquait, and Massimo Vignelli are also a few of my favorite artists.
